Hi good day! Here’s my last podcast for English two. This podcast will serve as my assessment for my persuasive speech. During my speech, I felt normal. No more nervousness at all, maybe because I’ve already consumed all my nervousness with my informative speech and maybe because I really love talking and sharing in front and that is what I noticed, I guess with a lot of practice nervousness will naturally be eliminated and everything would really fall into right places. Aside from there is a natural confidence that I felt during those times, I really did not notice any big improvements. I just follow the right things that I did when I delivered my informative speech. For the second time, I guess I did a good example of visuals, good set of pictures in it and just a little text. I also give large amount of my time in researches, in searching for a very good and reliable source of information about my topic and of course I also picked a topic which I really find interesting and which I think is really close to me. For my areas of improvements, I should practice even more; I think I should always check my visuals before doing the actual speech so that I can avoid technical problems. But nonetheless, I guess I really gave my best for my persuasive speech and that i should continue the right things.

For the content, organization and preparation of my speech, I can say that being organized in delivering a speech is a must. When your speech is organized you can neatly say the ideas you have in mind also; you can easily remember information about your speech. Being organized means being prepared that’s why delivering a persuasive speech really needs organization because it is where you can say that a person really allocates time in arranging his ideas into proper places. Researching is also important because in persuasive speaking, you need a high credibility so that the people you present to will easily be persuaded by your speech through how organized you are and how reliable your sources are. In persuasive speaking it’s not enough that you say your personal point of view, you should always look for a source that would save you when people started to doubt the things that you’re saying! Go find the best sources that you can see! Lastly, practicing your speech is also important because this can help you familiarize your speech, we don’t want memorization because that would sound robotic but instead we just need to familiarize so that the natural speaking voice will still be present. Having practices in front of a mirror can help you check if you got the right facial expression with that specific line, or if you sound well while you’re speaking. Constant practice before the speech can help lower the chances of being nervous during THE JUDGEMENT DAY and lastly, practices before the speech day can improve you little by little so that when speech day comes you already know how to carry yourself in front of the crowd. For my personal experiences, I make outlines for the ideas that come into my mind. I also used the Monroe’s Model for Persuasive Speech because I know this can really help me in organizing my speech. For my sources, I looked for the best ones, the credible ones. I make it a point that I read the contents of my sources, I don’t copy and paste things from internet but instead I get the information and extract my own idea. Lastly, for the practicing, I actually practice in front of the mirror or in front of my mom, so that I can or somebody can spot my mistake and correct it right away before the speech.


For the last part of my assessment, I have a short list of my resolution:
1.) I would look for a lot of sources, then I’ll read them carefully, check the credibility of the site then I will pick as many sources that contain helpful information about my speech.
2.) I will do my speech as early as possible so that I can avoid cramming and “cram outputs”. I will make use of my time wisely, allotting time for the construction of my ideas, for researches, for revising and for practicing my speech.
3.) I will carefully read all the instructions given in Edu.20 so that I can produce a good output. I will make sure that I did the step-by-step instructions correctly without missing anything behind.

2. Money: This kind of business does not promise easy money but it will help you earn tremendous income.
3. Character Building: there will be ups and downs in networking, and with this it will test how persistent and consistent you are in the business.
B. If you wil not join networking you will just end up being the employee. There will be no harm if you try the "LEGITS" and if you will not try, the only difference is that you let go the brighter opportunities that lies ahead.

Hi good morning! This will be my 3rd podcast about myself assessment during my first informative speech.My speech about safe traveling via public transportation went well, for me it turned out to be good. I'm overwhelmed with the support that my classmates and miss Diane showed. For me the attentiveness of my audience helped me a lot in talking in front in a natural way, just like having a cool and smooth conversation with them. Also, I really appreciate them answering all my questions and whenever I see them talking and sharing their personal experiences in commuting makes me smile and makes my nervousness fade away. I think I did right with my visuals. I did not put a lot of texts in it so that the audience attention will not be too divided.I also let my hands move freely so that I can express myself more and for me it serves as my "nervousness outlet". I also memorized my lines from the heart so that when I speak, I speak naturally. Lastly, I enjoy my speech. I did not think about grades and I did not speak just to finish it but I speak because I need and I want to share something significant to others. For my areas of improvement I think I should improve my visuals and I should research more about my topic. For my next speech I request nothing but I hope they will continue to support me and to answer me whenever I have queries :)

1. What is the best way to tour a place?

For me you should let yourself enjoy the place, also it is best to tour a place with the company you really love.

2, which is the most convenient ride during rush hours? not only on manila but everywhere?

I really advice you guys to take trains. It is convenient during rush hours. Though the train would be so crowded, surely it will save you from getting into traffic! :)

Nut-Saw-Or-Dean-Array-In-Throw-Duck-Shown

What’s your first impression when you see color yellow? Do you see Cory Aquino? Do you see People Power? Do you see peace? Well, I saw those stuff too but more often than not, whenever I think of color yellow, I see Spongebob Squarepants.  Indeed he’s my favorite cartoon character. I’m pretty much confident that we both have the same characteristics in a sense that I’ll do everything in the name of “friendship” like what Spongebob do to Patrick, he’s best friend. I’m also like Spongebob in a sense that I’ll give my best shot in school so that I will excel and achieve success. Well in Spongebob’s case, he does his job well at Krasty Krab as a fry cook and he’s also a responsible student in Mrs. Puff’s boating school so that he can collect much of the “good noodle stars”. Like Spongebob, I also do careless and crazy stuff but at the end of the day we both realize things and promised to keep the lesson learned in heart. Spongebob gives importance to every little thing around him. Modesty aside, I, too do that. I don’t want anyone to be left alone especially those who are really close to me, like Gary to Spongebob (Gary is Spongebob’s pet snail). I commend Spongebob’s humbleness and patience and I also want to have much of that characteristic someday when I mature a bit.

Talking about Spongebob, his life, my characteristics, and the KRASTY KRAB makes me hungry. Why don’t we move on and talk about FOOD. Sounds yummy huh? I like chicken wings. Buffalo wings, fried chicken wings, roast chicken wings; name it as long as there’s a wing. Another block buster to my stomach is adidas. Yes, you read that right I love chicken feet along with pork and chicken intestines. I should say that the blood of being a true Filipino runs through my veins :) I can’t resist eating those, others say it’s YUCK but for me it’s perfect just like pesto pasta and high protein pizza. It is so good that I even played hide and seek with my grandmother just to have one. But guys, I’m telling you, have a boost of anti Hepa first before eating those foods because some might come from not so clean stores. I need water to push down all those foods. Yep, water. I don’t drink softdrinks, coffee (decaf will do), juices (sometimes), iced tea (no more Sola. Uh-oh), and alcoholic beverages (occasionally, I think). Healthy living, well water is fine at least it makes me safe from gastric reflux and urinary tract infection. I also don’t drink milk... I just don’t like the taste of it since I was three years existing in earth. I don’t eat cheddar cheese; I don’t like the taste of yoghurt either. I know I don’t have a good source of calcium but I make it a point that I eat much of almonds and sesame seeds that can supply my calcium needs.

See, I got lots of information about that stuff I’ve mentioned a while ago. I have that information stocked because I read books, Modesty aside... again, I’d rather buy and read book than stay up late in front of the computer. Well, for now I really can’t find a reason why I should stay late doing social networking stuff aside from doing projects and passing them online :). I like to read Reader’s Digest, and I must say Twilight is the only fiction stuff that I liked, then the rest I’d rather take the novel side. One novel that I really love most that I keep on reading again and again is Tuesdays with Morrie. Teachers played a big role in my life and I owe a lot from them. Aside from teachers, I value mothers, especially my biological mom and my nanay tina (a very close adviser way back in high school). They inspire me to do well in everything I do. They give me strength and confidence. I would like to end my entry with this. I am what I am because of my environment. It is so not ordinary to think that one personality rises because of others. I value women as much as I value myself. I owe everything to God for He blessed me with good people and to my Papa for he never fails to guide me from above. :)

I googled myself last night and I entered "ana repil", "lychee repil", "lyssa repil", and "analychee" on the search engine. I was happy to see that there is nothing scandalous (I should say...) about me. I saw different profile accounts linked to my name like in Facebook, Twitter, Rottentomato, and others. Some accounts were active and some are not :). One of the things I'm proud of is that whenever I type my name my blogs in our compsci subject appeared. I think I still have a good internet image and I'm glad about it.

I will continue to retain my clear image in the internet by  THINKING BEFORE I CLICK (one of the famous internet advocate in the television). As much as possible, I want to engage myself into more serious and matured topics in our society. Modesty aside, I always make sure that I carefully pick words that I placed in social networking sites as my posts or shout outs. There are times that I really can't help myself but to say bad things/words but I make it a point that it was just a one big blow of unwanted emotions. I always think about the archive in the internet, when I first knew about that archive thing I was like "oh, that's fine, I know I did not do anything ridiculous before" and then after a few seconds... "hmm, let me try to look for those archive sites" hehehe. But honestly, I don't dedicate my life into social networking, it is a must that everyone must have balance. Maybe another thing that helps me to have a good image online is because I do not go online 5hours a day or so. Maybe exposure to cyberworld could also increase the probability that one can be so addicted that he can no longer see the things that he posts, whether bad or good. The key term in having a clean image in the internet is DISCIPLINE. Every user should have this, it will not only help me  especially in job hunting, but it can help you. :)

Real stories of social networking

1.One real story about the advantages of social networking site is about a girl named Janella Lelis, 12 years old, whose story of being nationalistic spread in the internet. During the flood and heavy rain caused by bagyong Juaning a girl named Janella had the courage to save the Philippine flag despite the danger caused by the typhoon. The picture of this girl carrying the Philippine flag spread in facebook and had made the viewers feel proud in behalf of Janella. Through social networking sites, the picture of Janella showing how nationalistic she is had made people to open there eyes that being nationalistic does not mean a ton of artworks and literary piece.

Facebook serves as a medium to broadcast how Janella showed and set an example to people on how to give importance to our flag. Also, because of her picture in facebook, GMA7 gave her something in return for she had showcased bravery despite of the flood and heavy rain just to save the flag

2. another GOODNEWS. because of facebook, cops had arrested a serial murder suspect.  Mark Dizon, a computer technician is fond of guns and is alleged accused to murder nine people in San Fernando city, Pampanga. the Facebook account of Dizon had helped the police to tracked him down.

3. On the other hand, another filipino gained comments in facebook but by this time, negative comments. Jerzon Senador uploaded a "newly washed" real puppy and pinned in the clothes line. He named his album as "Bagung Ligo si Puppy" this album gained critic from other users and also, it ignite the awareness of other anti-animal cruelty groups. This incident caught the attention of PAWS and said that they will file a case against Senador. Because of his negligence his own actions had led him to consequences that he never expected just because of that simple photo album in fb.

4. another disadvantage of social networking site particularly facebook is about the "facebook ban spurs picket at Ateneo de Davao". This issue is about the banning of students from using facebook all in the same time because fb is eating the bandwidth. The administrators said that the students and staff should use the internet access in the school for educational works.

5.Last but not the least is about the disadvantage of social networking site Twitter. In the twitter world, there is a thing that they call "twitter wars" these wars were usually connected to celebrities but by this time Philippine government officials had also exchange barbs online.

this is not a good matter because also, social sites serves as a ground for war. this scenario can have a negative impact to other people or other country. Others might think that our politicians were not that professional nor educated to have exchange of tweets regarding on a matter that should be discussed in person and not in the cyberworld. 

advantages and disadvantages of social networking sites still depends on the user. That's why all of us should be a responsible user. think before you click ;)

Fact or Fiction?

Because of advance technology, there are tons of rumors and misconceptions circulating around the system. Computer issues and misconceptions were often caused by uneducated computer users. Let me give you some of the common misconceptions and issues about computer and computer use.

COMMON COMPUTER BELIEFS AND MYTHS:                                                                                                                  

1.      .Restarting the computer is the same as shutting it down completely then powering it back up.

·         Shutting down your computer is very different from restarting it. Shutting it completely will enable the electric currents on the circuit board to seep out. Thus, restarting the computer does not allow you to do this.

2.      Monitors wear out faster if you turn them off when they are not in use.

·         Actually monitors will wear out faster if you will leave it on. Turning off your computer monitors will help you save money and wearing out internal components will be much avoided.

3.       I don’t need an antivirus program because I’m using a firewall.

·         These are two different subject matter. Firewall prevents you from going to the unwanted websites while antivirus programs prevent your computer from having infected by a virus.

4.      My PC is running slow and I have strange icons in my system tray, therefore I probably have a virus.

·         There are many instances that these weird stuff are not caused by virus, especially if you have antivirus program and have them updated. Sometimes it can be caused by spywares.

5.     My PC will start behaving worse than a tired toddler if I don’t power it all the way down at night, every night.

·         You don’t need to shut it down fully every night. You don’t need it to keep your PC healthy.

It is a must to be educated about the misconceptions of computer usage. It will be a simple way of saving time and money.
